  • 摘要:This study aims to investigate the effect of the integrative thematic Subject-Specific Pedagogy (SSP) on the improvement of characters honesty and care among grade II students of SDN Karet 1, Sepatan, Tangerang. This was a quasi-experimental study employing the nonequivalent-groups pretest-posttest design. The research population comprised grade II students of SDN Karet 1, Sepatan, Tangerang, consisting of four classes. The sample, consisting of three classes, was established by means of the cluster random sampling technique. The results of the study are as follows. (1) The learning through the integrative thematic SSP has a more significant effect and positive than that without the use of integrative thematic SSP learning in terms of the improvement of elementary school students’ character of honesty (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). (2) The learning through the integrative thematic SSP has a more significant effect and positive than that without the use of integrative thematic SSP learning in terms of the improvement of elementary school students’ character of care (Sig.= 0.000 < 0.05).
