摘要：The goal of this study is to address the competencies required in the business world/industry for the expertise in the field of Marine, Agribusiness/Agritechnology, and Tourism. This study is also to discuss the length of study on each competence expertise. The question underlying this study related to the performance of vocational school graduates that did not comply with the competencies expected by the workforce. Data collection approach was based on focus group discussion and questionnaire. The results of this study indicated that competencies needed in the Marine field especially in Nautical Commercial Ship experience includes the possession of the Level IV Nautical Expert Certification, pre-training/ professional test and on board training at the sea. Competencies for Nautical Fishery Expertise Program required pre-production fish sorting (sorting of fresh fish suitable for production, work ethics and foreign language skills (in accordance with the native language of the company). Agribusiness/agritechnology field. Veterinary Health competencies needs knowledge of animal food, maintenance of a wet and dry circulation system, and injection and vaccination. Expertise on Quality Control for Agriculture and Fishery Products includes competencies for evaluation of processed products swell as safety and health at work. The Tourism in Boutique field needs competencies for trend of design development, pattern and digital design, cost/budgetting, and communication. The length of study for Veterinary health and Quality Control of Agriculture and Fishery Products expertise program requires four year study plan, whereas other expertise programs only need three years. It can be inferred that not all skill programs need a four year study plan.
