摘要:In the paper, after the introductory remarks and explanations of what is the supply chain, the supply chain management, it is considered and why the supply chain differs from the concept of logistics management. The next point points to the essential difference between the traditional and modern concept of the supply chain. It further indicates what are the most important competitive advantages and criteria to be taken into consideration when designing the supply chain. The authors of the paper dedicate part of the presentation to the question how to stimulate the process of value creation is done through different optimizations that occur in more places and levels among trading partners. Finally, in the end, the participants in supply chains use a modern approach to managing the supply chain with the use of information and communication technology.
