摘要：The purpose of this study is to determine the level of richness and distribution of wealth through real estates belong to Kayseri Hacılar Aşağı Quarter during the end of 19th century.The documents for the four quarters and a village of foreigners have been read but only the data related to the Aşağı Quarter have been analyzed.The documents have been taken from the Hülâsa Defters („Ottomanian Real Estates Summary Notebooks‟) for Kayseri Hacılar.The real estates owned by the residents of this quarter was mainly separate estates with high economic value representing relatively high level of city life as vineyards,gardens,houses,and madder (rhamnus) types assets.The highest share in the value of total real estates and tax payments were belong to detached houses.With regard to the distribution of wealth only a one percent of residents of the quarter has a high level of wealth,and the rest has a lower-middle level wealth with the values very close to each other.However,the level of richness and tax burden of the most wealthy residences of the quarter in terms of both absolute values and shares in total of the quarter compare to other three quarters are lower.Finally,the difference between the rich and the others in this quarter is less compare to other quarters.
