摘要:The most important feature that distinguishes human beings from other beings is that they have consciousness (intelligence) and freedom of choice.Throughout the history of mankind, human freedom, the limits and nature of this freedom have come to question. There are usually two approaches to human freedom: The first of these is the approach that the philosophers adopt, and the other is the approach that religions bring. The concept of freedom is not a concept that can easily fit into a fixed definition pattern.A complete and total definition could not be made, which the logicians described as "including what is necessary while excluding those that are unnecessary".Therefore, philosophers and scholars have tried to base their concept of freedom on the basis of intellectual accumulation and the environment of thought of their own age.As mentioned above, the issue of freedom is a difficult subject to solve. For this reason,in this study,we try to evaluate the approaches of Mâturîdite kalam thinkers to the freedom problem, their solution offers and definitions after first analyzing the concept of freedom from an etymological point of view and defining it.In this study, the types of solutions offered by Imam Mâturîdi and his most powerful follower Ebü’l-Muîn an-Nasafî,two of the Mâturîdite kalam thinkers, will be emphasized.
