摘要：In this study, the causality relationship between consumer price index (CPI) and producer price index (PPI) were investigated during the period of 2003-2012 for Turkey. Whether there is a price translating mechanism between price indices were tested for both aggregate indices and sub-indices. The results have shown that there is twodirectional causality relationship between CPI and PPI. In addition, there is one-directional relationship from consumer prices to producer prices were determined for clothing and housing sub-sectors. These results have shown that the price increases result from demand side factors in Turkey.
