摘要：Considering its contributions to the sustainability of national and international trade and to the development of social life, the performances of companies operating in insurance sector has gained much attention. In this study, the performances of six insurance firms listed in Borsa Istanbul was measured using multicriteria decision making (MCDM) techniques. In the application, the evaluation criteria have been weighted using a weighted goal programming method (WGP)proposed by Garcia et al. (2010). In the second phase, by integrating the calculated criteria weights with an interval VIKOR model developed by Sayadi et al. (2009), the firms were ranked according to their performances. It is hoped that the suggested combined model would contribute to the literature.
