摘要:With the increase of competition and globalization, the term competition has gained a broader meaning and this situation has forced businesses to seek for new practices. In this context, benchmarking is one of the successful methods businesses use to stand against fierce competition and increase their performance. In this study, the awareness and feasibility of benchmarking was investigated in manufacturer SME’s in Erzurum, Erzincan and Bayburt district. Question forms were used and the data were analyzed through SPSS software. Then the findings were discussed. As a result of the analyses, it was found that the level of benchmarking practices differs among cities. On the other hand, it was realized that benchmarking practices do not differ in terms of industry groups, years of operation and the number of employees.
