摘要：The article is induced by the need for increasing energy efficiency and sun energy use in family houses. Aiming to better understanding of sun energy use, the article discusses the importance of heat accumulation in building elements. Apart from determining the difference between active and passive sun energy use in buildings, the article presents some basic elements which define standard characteristics of passive houses. Heat accumulation in building elements is defined, as well as elements with most influence to heat accumulation. The second part of the article deals with the types of sun energy accumulation in passive houses and related examples.
