摘要：In the general strategy of the European Union,a particular emphasis is placed on maintaining the quality of the environment,which implies a series of measures to protect,improve and rehabilitate the environment.In this article,the authors propose to analyze the effect of waste,whatever its nature,on environmental conditions.It is known that the whole economic and social activity has the effect of producing residues (waste),which,in the context in which they are not properly administered,have a negative effect on the environment.In Directive 2008/98 / EC,Article 3.1 defines what we mean by waste for the effect it has on the environment.According to the above article,by waste we mean any substance or object that the holder is considering or intends to abandon or remove from use.From the point of view of these wastes,we understand that they represent a significant loss of material and energy resources.Waste generally arises from any activity in agriculture,industry,household,and so on.The authors undertake an analysis of the current state of the volume of recyclable or non-recyclable waste and the general situation in each country in relation to the generation,management and disposal of the waste.Recyclable waste is a potential and resource for developing future business.Waste can also be used to obtain extra energy,but often stored under uncontrollable conditions.Waste has a particularly severe effect on environmental conditions in a country.Inventories of the amount of waste generated by economic activities and peasant farms and the treatment or use of waste before being safely stored are points that the authors have investigated and exemplified for each country and for the whole European Union.
