摘要：It is unlikely to come across the statements "Ottoman Empire" and "Graphic Design" within the same sentence.Because it was almost the same time the collapse of the Empire and the usage of "graphic design" as a term.This of course does not mean that there was nothing about graphic design at Ottoman Empire.But after the Turkish Alphabet Revolution,it seems that graphic design lost its relationship with the past.In Turkish Graphic design today,there are not the traces of the traditional approach which formed by the Ottoman Empire for centuries.It seems that,Turkish graphic design history had started since the New Turkish Republic or after the Alphabet Revolution.In this study,it is aimed to bring an alternative perspective to Turkish graphic arts history by evaluating the Ottoman art and crafts with an understanding of contemporary graphic design and connecting traditional approaches to the present.
其他摘要："Osmanlı İmparatorluğu" ile "Grafik Tasarım" ifadelerine aynı cümle içinde rastlamak pek olası değildir.Çünkü İmparatorluğun çöküşü ile "grafik tasarım" teriminin kullanılmaya başlanması hemen hemen aynı zamanlara rastlar.Bu,elbette Osmanlı Devleti'nde grafik tasarım olmadığı anlamına gelmez.Fakat Türk harf devrimiyle birlikte grafik tasarımın geçmişle bağlantısı tamamen kopmuş gibidir.Bugün Türk grafik tasarımında Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun yüzyıllar boyu oluşturduğu geleneksel yaklaşımın izleri görülmemektedir.Sanki Türk grafik tasarım tarihi,yeni Cumhuriyet ya da harf devriminden sonra başlar gibidir.Bu çalışmada,Osmanlı sanat ve el sanatları günümüz grafik tasarım anlayışıyla değerlendirilerek,geleneksel yaklaşımları bugüne bağlamak ve Türk grafik sanatlar tarihine alternatif bir bakış açısı getirmek amaçlanmıştır.
