摘要:Introducing Matura as a secondary school final examination and as a selection instrument for University changed many things in the Slovenian education sister in the last few years.In this paper an effort was made in order to examine the relationship between Matura as a selection instrument for studying psychology at the university and the entrance selection examination which was in use before Matura.The main question was,which of the two selection principles had a better predictive validity for success in the study of psychology at the University of Ljubljana.The predictors were significantly different in only one of three criteria of success in psychology study,namely entrance examination was proved as a better predictor of the average subject grade in the first year of study.As expected,predictive validity improved when the success in the secondary school subject 'psychology' was added as an additional predictor.It should be pointed out however,that the prediction was made on the selected sample,without those candidates that did not succeed to enter the study of psychology (usually only 1/4 of applicants enter the study);it is difficult to draw very accurate conclusions from the study which was conducted on a suchrestricted sample.
其他摘要:V zadnjih nekaj letih se je z uvedbo maturitetnega preizkusa kot zaključka srednje šole in selekcijskega postopka za vpis na univerzo marsikaj spremenilo.Avtor je želel raziskati odnos med maturo kot selekcijskim postopkom za vpis v študij psihologije na Univerzi v Ljubljani in selekcijskim postopkom,ki je temu namenu služil prej – sprejemnim izpitom.V središču zanimanja je predvsem napovedna veljavnost obeh postopkov za uspešnost pri študiju psihologije.Izmed treh kriterijev uspešnosti sta se prediktorja bistveno razlikovala le pri enem,kjer se je sprejemni izpit izkazal za boljši prediktor povprečja ocen izpitov prvega letnika kot matura.Po pričakovanjih se je napovedna veljavnost mature izboljšala,če je bil dodatno upoštevan uspeh iz izbirnega predmeta psihologija na maturi.Pri posploševanju ugotovitev ne moremo mimo omejitev,predvsem dejstva,da je bila matura 1995 precej drugačna od matur,izvedenih v kasnejših letih,pozorni pa moramo biti tudi na to,da so vse analize in izračuni narejeni na vzorcu,ki je bil selekcioniran (v vzorec niso bili vključeni vsi,ki bi študirali psihologijo,ampak le tisti,ki so po selekcijskem postopku tudi dobili možnost študija psihologije).Iz študije samo uspešnih je težko izpeljevati veljavne sklepe.
