摘要：Various aspects of phytotoxic action of phosphonate herbicides (glyphosate,sulfosate) were examined.First of all it is a glyphosate induced inhibition of shikimate biosynthetic pathway,as a starting point of synthesis of many secondary metabolites.A revue of research work of D.R.Geiger and his coworkers about immediately (1-2 h after treatment) glyphosate induced inhibition of photosynthesis and starch synthesis in sugar beet is examined.We investigated different aspects of sulfosate induced inhibition of photo-synthesis and growth in maize plants and compared this results with previous conclusion about mechanism of action of phosphonate herbicides.
