摘要:Based on the framework proposed by Michel Foucault, this article explores the role of power relations in the constitution of memory. It analyses the data provided by four interviewees in narrative and semi-structured interviews, identifying the obvious and less-obvious manifestations of power in their memories. All the interviewees reside and have spent most of their lives in the Tachov region of the Czech Republic (which is a Czech-German borderland area special in its culture, geography and history) and can thus be considered integral parts of this specific environment.
