摘要:In this paper,we present an empirical study related to the use of a web-based self-assessment system in an object-oriented programming course.44 science and engineering students participated in this study,which aims to investigate the following questions: (1) How much time do students spend voluntarily on using the self-assessment system? (2) What kind of tests do students prefer? (3) What is the relation between theoretical knowledge and problem solving skills? Results show an increase in the overall learning outcome,moreover the analysis of the data helped to reveal a group of students with learning difficulties.
