摘要：This study was conducted to determine science and technology teachers’ views on the removal of the level determination exam (SBS).In the present study,survey method was used with open-ended questionnaire to collect data.The sampling of the study consisted of 51 science and technology teachers attending from Giresun city in 2012-2013 academic year.Special case method was used in this study.Content analysis was employed to the data.The results were obtained from the open-ended questionnaire.Many of the teachers involved in the study have opposed the abolition of the examination.It also stated by teachers that there will be difficulties in placing students in schools if the exam is removed.On the other hand science and technology teachers have worries due to changes in exam types.Teachers stated that this may cause students to loose confidence,have less motivation,pessimisim,worry about their future,and adaptation issues.
其他摘要：Bu çalışma fen ve teknoloji öğretmenlerinin Seviye Belirleme Sınavı (SBS)’nın kaldırılması hakkındaki görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Veri toplama aracı olarak açık uçlu sorulardan yararlanılmıştır.Çalışmanın örneklemini 2012-2013 öğretim yılında Giresun İlinde görev yapan 51 fen ve teknoloji öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır.Çalışmada özel durum yöntemi kullanılmıştır.Elde edilen veriler içerik analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir.Çalışmada açık uçlu soru formundan elde edilen sonuçlara göre;çalışmaya katılan fen ve teknoloji öğretmenlerinin birçoğu söz konusu sınavın kaldırılmasına karşı çıkmışlardır.Ayrıca öğretmenler sınav kaldırıldığında öğrencilerin yerleştirilmesinde sıkıntıların çıkabileceğini ifade etmişlerdir.Diğer yandan fen ve teknoloji öğretmenlerinin ortaöğretim kurumlarına öğrenci seçmek için yapılan sınavların sayısının ve şeklinin sürekli değişmesinden dolayı endişelendikleri dikkati çekmektedir.Fen ve teknoloji öğretmenleri bu durumun öğrencilerde güven kaybına,motivasyon düşüklüğüne,karamsarlığa,gelecek endişesine,uyum sorununa neden olabileceğini ifade etmişlerdir.
