摘要：The aim of this study is to share the findings of a TUBİTAK 4004 Science and Society Project titled as “I am an explorer and I am exploring my town”.The aim of the project was,to raise awareness about the values of cultural environment by providing scientific point of view to students.The target group consists of the 75 students from 5th and 6th grade students in Tarsus,county of Mersin.The project involved 3 periods and in each period,there were 25 students from different schools.The activities were designed based on active learning principles.One pre-test and two post- tests,one of which was at the end of the activities and the other was after a month,were applied for evaluation of the activities.In the pre-test and post-tests the same multiple-choice exam was applied to evaluate the outcomes of the project.SPSS software is used to evaluate the results.In this context,this study has four main parts in generally.The first part presents the development of active learning phenomenon;the second part includes Project design and the content;the third part presents the findings of the project and the conclusion includes evaluations and proposals for similar studies.
其他摘要：Bu çalışmanın amacı “aktif öğrenme” temelli olarak tasarlanan “Ben Bir Kâşifim,Yaşadığım Kenti Keşfediyorum” başlıklı TUBİTAK 4004 Bilim ve Toplum Projesinin bulgularını paylaşmaktır.Projenin amacı,öğrencilere bilimsel bakış açısı kazandırarak,bilimsel düşünme ve araştırma yönteminin uygulanması ile tarihi çevrenin sahip olduğu değerler konusunda farkındalık oluşturmaktır.Hedef grup Mersin İli Tarsus ilçesinde yaşayan 5.ve 6.sınıf öğrencileri olarak belirlenmiştir.25’er katılımcıdan oluşan üç grup halinde yapılan etkinliğe toplanda 75 öğrenci katılmıştır.Proje kapsamında uygulanan etkinlikler “aktif öğrenme” yaklaşımına göre tasarlanmıştır.Proje sonuçlarını proje amaçları doğrultusunda değerlendirebilmek için bir ön-test ve biri etkinlik sonu diğeri bir ay sonra olmak üzere iki son-test uygulanmıştır.Ön-test ve son -testte aynı soruları içeren aynı çoktan seçmeli test kullanılmıştır.Test sonuçları SPSS ile analiz edilmiştir.Bu çerçevede dört bölümden oluşan bu çalışma kapsamında birinci bölümde aktif öğrenme yaklaşımı;ikinci bölümde proje tasarımı;üçüncü bölümde analiz sonuçları;son bölümde ise proje değerlendirmesi ve benzer projeler için öneriler yer almaktadır.
