摘要：The purpose of this study is to investigate high school students’ self-directed learning readiness levels and critical thinking dispositions.The study adopted a convergent parallel design,one of the mixed type research methods.The quantitative phase of the study was conducted using screening model,one of the descriptive research methods;and the qualitative phase included open-ended questions as data collection tools.While quantitative data were collected through the “Self-directed Learning Readiness Scale” and “Critical Thinking Disposition Scale”,qualitative data were collected through open-ended questions.Data were collected from students who were enrolled in four general and four vocational high schools in central towns of Mersin (Akdeniz,Mezitli,Toroslar,Yenişehir) in the second semester of the 2014-2015 education year.Quantitative data were collected from 1280 students,and the qualitative data were collected from 240 students (30 students from 8 schools).Analysis of the quantitative data included factor analysis that identified construct validity of the data which was followed by descriptive statistics,and the analysis of the qualitative data included deductive qualitative analysis.Results showed that,in terms of self-directed learning,high school students were willing about learning,set goals,took learning responsibilities,made plans about learning,and performed learning.As for the critical thinking disposition dimension,it was found that the high school students had dispositions such as actively participating in the problem solving process,conducting cognitive processes,being open to new ideas and information,being willing to following innovations,searching new ideas,exploring,and learning.Qualitative and quantitative data revealed parallel findings.
其他摘要：Araştırmanın amacı lise öğrencilerinin öz yönetimli öğrenmeye hazırbulunuşlukları ve eleştirel düşünme eğilimlerini belirlemektir.Araştırma karma yöntem araştırma desenlerinden yakınsayan paralel desen yaklaşımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırmanın nicel aşamasında betimsel araştırma yöntemi olan tarama modeli,nitel aşamasında ise açık uçlu sorular yoluyla veriler elde edilmiştir.Nicel bulguların elde edilmesinde,“Öz yönetimli Öğrenmeye Hazırbulunuşluk” ve “Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimi” ölçekleri kullanılmıştır.Nitel aşamada ise,açık uçlu sorular kullanılarak bulgular elde edilmiştir.Araştırma,2014- 2015 eğitim öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde Mersin ili merkez ilçelerindeki dörder genel lise ve meslek lisesi olmak üzere sekiz lisedeki öğrenciler ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırmanın nicel boyutunda 1280 öğrenciden,nitel boyutunda ise,seçilen sekiz okulun her birinden 30 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 240 öğrenciden veri elde edilmiştir.Nicel verilerin analizinde ölçeklerin yapı geçerliğini belirlemek amacıyla faktör analizleri yapıldıktan sonra betimsel istatistikler,nitel verilerin analizinde tümdengelimsel nitel analiz yapılmıştır.Araştırmada lise öğrencilerinin öz yönetimli öğrenmeye hazırbulunuşluk anlamında,öğrenmeye yönelik istekli oldukları,hedef belirledikleri,öğrenme sorumluluklarını aldıkları,öğrenmeye ilişkin plan yaptıkları ortaya çıkmıştır.Eleştirel düşünme eğilimi boyutunda ise,öğrencilerinin problem çözme sürecinde etkin katılım,bilişsel süreçleri yürütme,yeni fikirler ve bilgilere açık olma,yenilikleri izlemeye istekli olma,yeni fikirleri araştırma,keşfetme ve öğrenmeye istekli olma gibi eğilimlere sahiptir.Nicel ve nitel veriler birbirini desteklemektedir.
