摘要：Even in the year 2000, electronic journal publishing is still a young field, and little standardization, even among electronic journals with print equivalents, has occurred. This complicates the task of the reference or bibliographic instruction librarian who has to guide users in the best ways to exploit this new medium. To assist in this task, an examination of science-technology-medicine (STM) journals publishers' web sites was undertaken, focusing on those features most relevant to the end-user student or researcher.
