摘要：By means of this article-review we welcome this new Quixote, published on the occasion of the fourth centenary of the Second Part of this masterpiece (1615). In order to understand how the Quixote was designed, we must go deeper in the study of the books of chivalry, but we should take into account the treatises de re militari, the lifes of saints and other literary reservoirs. With some few exceptions, the reader may rely on the status quaestionis, conveniently updated and accurate, which has been interwoven with the introduction, notes and other tools. Similarly, the lexicographical records are quite satisfactory, except those related to Botany, which need a thorough review.
