摘要:As the author of a flora that was used by generations of amateur and professional botanists
and, later in his career, of numerous studies on the taxonomy of genus Rosa, François Crépin
has a place among the leading botanists in Belgium in the nineteenth century. See for more
information about his life and career, among others, Errera & Durand (1906), Lebrun
(1968), Diagre-Vanderpelen (2011) and Hoste & Diagre-Vanderpelen (2018).1
Taking as a starting point the list of Crépin’s publications compiled by Errera & Durand
(1906) shortly after his death, we here publish a corrected and extended bibliography. The
list in Errera & Durand contains quite a few careless mistakes (such as titles that are not
quoted correctly) and typographical errors, which may make it difficult to retrieve some of
Crépin’s publications from libraries or the Internet. A number of publications are, furthermore, altogether missing from their list, but were retrieved during the preparation of our
list by screening several different bibliographical sources. Very helpful among these was the
bibliography on roses published by K.L. Stock (1984).
