其他摘要：This paper aims to analyze the
reaffirmation of Northeastern Brazilian
identity and its relation to memory, based
on communication practices mediated by
new technologies, specifically focusing
here on the Suricate Seboso page on
Facebook. Based on interviews with the
author of the page, we established the
relationship between language, identity
and memory as constituent elements of
the Suricate Seboso page content. It was
also observed that humor is an element
that helps to build meaningful
identification of users with the page,
therefore contributing to their
reaffirmation of Northeastern Brazilian
identity.
