摘要：Este artigo apresenta o debate atual sobre o mundo do trabalho (ANTUNES, OFFE, SCHAFF, GUERRA, IDE & CORDELL, MATTOSO), tendo como foco central o impacto da informática nos processos de trabalho. Entre outros temas, a centralidade do trabalho no cotidiano dos indivíduos é analisado no âmbito deste texto. Finalmente, são analisadas as implicações das novas tecnologias e dos fatores intrínsecos do trabalho (controle, cargas, identidade) na saúde psíquica dos trabalhadores.

Finally, the implications of the new technologies are analyzed as well as the intrinsic factors of the work (control, loads, identity) in the workers' psychic health.
