- 摘要：Se evaluó la abundancia relativa de los batoideos extraídos entre marzo y octubre de 2006 en los sectores de playa Salguero y Don Jaca en Santa Marta, Caribe de Colombia, mediante el seguimiento de las capturas con métodos artesanales por 12 a 26 días de muestreo al mes. En Playa Salguero se analizaron 674 lances de chinchorro playero y la captura por unidad de esfuerzo (CPUE) total promedio en términos de abundancia fue 0.46±0.07 individuos/hora y en biomasa 0.09±0.02 kg/hora, siendo la especie endémica más abundante Urotrygon venezuelae, previamente considerada poco abundante en la región. En Don Jaca se evaluaron 129 lances de palangre horizontal y 54 con trasmallo, la CPUE promedio para todo el muestreo en términos de biomasa se estimó en 8.53±2.04 kg/15horas para el palangre y 11.00±5.90 kg/12horas para el trasmallo; Dasyatis guttata fue la especie de mayor importancia.

Relative abundance of batoids fished in Playa Salguero and Don Jaca (Santa Marta) between March and October (2006) was estimated. Data taken at sampling periods varying between 12 and 26 days were used. 674 fishing operations with trawl net at Playa Salguero were analyzed. The general capture per effort unit (CPEU) mean in abundance was 0.46±0.07 individuals/hour and in biomass 0.09±0.02 kg/hour. The most abundant species was the endemic Urotrygon venezuelae, previously considered rare. At Don Jaca, 129 fishing operations with horizontal lines and 54 with gill nets were evaluated. CPEU at that locality was estimated in 8.53±2.04 kg/15hours for the horizontal lines and 11.00±5.90 kg/12hours for gill net; Dasyatis guttata was the most important species.
