摘要:Three years after the release of Joshua Oppenheimer's The Act of Killing (2012), which explores the 1965-1966 massacres from the perspective of the killers, I review the impact of the documentary on national and international audiences. I argue that the victims themselves, and the pervasive forms of sexualized forms of violence during the massacres, are felt through their absence in the film.
