  • 摘要:With the advancement of technology and the increasing number of crimes, forensic dentist expert has performed in order to improve human identification.It is up to the experts in crime scenes the difficult tasks of locating, recognizing and identifying therein biological traces.The objective of the research was to evaluate the chemiluminescence of Bluestar® reagent, checking for how to identify bloodstains on different substrates and after different periods of time; besides that, it was verified the viability of identifying traces of blood in bodies of proof after subjecting them to washing with soap and water.Four different substrates were used: ceramic, cotton fabric, carpet and Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF).On each of these, 2 mL of blood were deposited.12 substrates were kept with visible blood stain and 12 were washed, divided into three time periods: 1 day (T1), 7 days (T2) and 30 days (T3).On each item the Bluestar® reagent was sprayed.All specimens showed chemiluminescence after using Bluestar®, at any time of the research.We conclude that the Bluestar® is effective in identifying visible and latent blood stains, even after 30 days of removal.
