摘要:Forensic entomology is the science that applies the knowledge of bioecological aspects of insects and other arthropods in the elucidation of legal proceedings.Although research in forensic entomology has developed in Brazil, its application in forensic activities relating to environmental issues is still scarce and presents low applicability in cases. The anthropogenic changes in the environment and the fragmentation of natural systems influence the structure of communities, causing impacts of different levels in their species.Studies of entomological diversity are essential to understand the composition of species which are bioindicators of environmental quality and ecological structure of the landscapes. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the importance of bioindicators emphasizing the perspective of applicability in environmental forensic activities, proposing a methodology using analytical tools able to evaluate the differences in species richness, abundance, diversity and similarity among areas of interest in order to investigate the influence of landscape fragments on the diversity of insects.
