摘要:The earliest civilizations used inhalants found naturally. With the manufacture of synthetic inhalants, many began to be used recreationally.Ether was the first synthetic to be used and associated with organic solvents abuse. In Brazil the ?lança-perfume? became popular in carnival balls, until its prohibition in the 1960 and a substitute begins to gain notoriety, the ?loló?.Other commercial products such as shoemaker glue and thinner, by having various solvents in their composition, are also used as abuse drugs.Trade in some solvents is controlled by specific legislation in Brazil. However these solvents are found in the composition of loló being considered illegal sale of these substances. The solvents used in the manufacture of loló and present in the shoemaker glue formulations and paint thinner cause many health problems, especially in the central nervous system and may trigger or facilitate the development of mental and cognitive disorders. This work aims to establish the chemical composition of inhalants seized in the state of Pernambuco and relate the chemical composition with the areas of the State as a way to describe the main locations where these substances can be found.
