摘要:Although the federal constitution of Brazil assures everyone the right to health, what is perceived is that this right, nowadays, has not reached its full social effectiveness. There are several reasons for the social inefficiency of the right to health, among which the alleged under-funding of the public sector stands out.In this context, the objective of this study is to identify the value of the Brazilian states investment in healthcare actions and services, based on the following research question: What is the average annual per capita value in Reais invested by Brazil in actions And public health services? To answer this question, a number of key indicators were collected and analyzed by the World Health Organization and the World Bank.In the end, it was concluded that the average annual per capita value invested by Brazil in the area of public health in the period 2005 to 2012 was R$ 1,118.77.Moreover, it has been inferred that, in the absence of a paradigmatic amount of public expenditures with universally accepted health, it is not possible to say with certainty that Brazils public health sector is underfunded, a fact that, however, can not serve as More resources are not destined to the sector, since it is also not possible to affirm that Brazilian public health is not underfunded.
