摘要：Aim: To analyze the scientific production published from 1989 to 2008 on the human rights of people with mental disorders.Method: This is an integrative research review of 11 scientific articles indexed in Lilacs, PubMed and SciELO databases.Results: 6 articles were from Brazil and 5 from abroad.Regarding the publication year, 1 was published in 1994, 3 in 1995, 1 in 1999, 1 in 2000, 1 in 2001, 1 in 2003, 1 in 2007 and 2 in 2008.Among the studies, 2 were qualitative and 9 were literature reviews.Conclusion: The articles findings were related to human rights and citizenship and emphasized, in addition to legal reforms, the consolidation of the psychiatric reform, and the generation of positive changes in the daily llives of patients with psychiatric disorders.
