  • 摘要:Estudos apontam que, na área de saúde as exigências no âmbito da gestão são crescentes. Neste sentido, a figura do enfermeiro por, sobretudo no SUS, ocupa cargos de gestão e de atenção à saúde do paciente. O objetivo geral é analisar o sentido do trabalho junto aos enfermeiros gestores em Unidades de Saúde Básica de Fortaleza. A pesquisa tem natureza qualitativa e descritiva, considerada bibliográfica, documental e de campo. Adotou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo, com a participação de oito enfermeiros gestores de equipes de saúde que trabalham em Unidades Básicas de Saúde de Fortaleza. A coleta de dados foi realizada mediante o uso de um roteiro de entrevistas, contendo sete questões abertas sobre sentido do trabalho, envolvendo a dimensão individual, a dimensão organizacional e dimensão social. Os resultados sugerem que, sobretudo na dimensão individual, os enfermeiros gestores denotam uma perda de identidade, por conta da falta de atenção devida à atenção básica em detrimento da intensa burocracia da gestão. Na dimensão organizacional, a utilidade do trabalho foi o aspecto mais destacado nos depoimentos dos entrevistados. Já quanto à dimensão social, verificou-se que a contribuição social é percebida por meio da maioria das práticas exercidas pelos enfermeiros gestores. Conclui-se, portanto, que os enfermeiros que exercem cargos de gestão acreditam que tanto na atenção básica, como no gerenciamento de atividades do posto, se consegue auxiliar os pacientes, de forma que um complementa o outro. MEANING OF WORK FOR NURSE MANAGERS ABSTRACT Studies show that, in the health area, the requirements within the management are crescent. In this sense, the nurse, especially in the SUS, occupies positions of management and of attention to the patient's health. This paper aims to analyze the meaning of work with the nurse managers in Basic Health Units of Fortaleza. This is a bibliographical, documentary and field research, with a qualitative and descriptive nature. The content analysis technique was adopted with the participation of eight nurses managers of health teams who work in Basic Health Units of Fortaleza. Data collection was carried out through the use of interviews script, having seven open questions about the meaning of work, involving the individual dimension, the organizational dimension and the social dimension. The results suggest that, especially in individual dimension, the nurse managers present a loss of identity, because of the lack of attention necessary to the basic attention in detriment to the intense management bureaucracy. In the organizational dimension, the usefulness of the work was the most important aspect in the interviewees' statements. Regarding the social dimension, it was verified that the social contribution is perceived through most of the practices carried out by the nurse managers. It is concluded, therefore, that the nurses who have management positions believe that both in basic care and in the management of activities in the unit, it is possible to help the patients, so that one fills in the other.
