摘要：The term «communication of the absence» refers to the problem of reconfiguring lost architectural volume. The issue
concerns the archaeological monuments that have survived only at the level of their foundation. Using the example of
the archaeological area «La Cuma» of Monte Rinaldo, the development of an on-site communication project based
on a certain methodology is shown. It provides the complex analysis of the monument, the research of case studies,
the definition of the project vision and the choice of the most effective solutions aimed at restoring a lost image of the
ancient complex.
