摘要：O objetivo desse estudo é analisar o panorama das migrações interestaduais cearenses, a partir dos anos 1950. A interpretação dos condicionantes do processo migratório é feito a partir da abordagem histórico-estrutural, onde a migração constitui elemento da desigualdade regional pela expansão do capitalismo. Para mensurar a evolução e as alterações nas tendências migratórias do e para o Ceará, trabalha-se com o “migrante acumulado” (lifetime migrant). O Anuário Estatístico do Brasil e os microdados dos Censos Demográficos (IBGE) são as principais fontes de informações. Os principais resultados mostram que, paulatinamente, desde os anos 1980, o Ceará diminui as suas perdas populacionais.ABSTRACTThe aim of this study is to analyze the landscape of Ceará interstate migration, from the year 1950. The interpretation of the conditions of the migration process is done from the historical-structural approach, where migration is element of regional inequality by the expansion of capitalism. In order to measure evolution and changes in migratory trends from and to Ceará, we work with the "lifetime migrant". The Statistical Yearbook of Brazil and the microdata of the Demographic Census (IBGE) are the main sources of information. The main results show that, only from the 2000s, Ceará has reduced its population losses.
