摘要：A infância é uma fase da vida em que as crianças apresentam como principal ocupação, o brincar, essa ação é fundamental para manter a saúde física e mental das mesmas e, pode incluir objetos e ocorrer de forma individual ou em grupo. Cabe corrobora que, na infância, o adoecer e a hospitalização das crianças são fatores que desafiam o desenvolvimento saudável, pois a internação possibilita a manifestação de um amadurecimento precoce para esta fase. O manuscrito trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica de abordagem qualitativa e caráter descritivo com objetivo de descrever as contribuições do brinquedo terapêutico para cuidado com a criança no âmbito hospitalar. Após a associação de todos os descritores foram selecionados 15 artigos que mantinham coerência com os descritores e com os objetivos do estudo. Posterior à leitura reflexiva emergiram três categorias: brinquedos terapêuticos e as contribuições para a criança hospitalizada; dificuldades para a inserção dos brinquedos terapêuticos no cuidado à criança hospitalizada; brinquedos terapêuticos como subsidio da assistência de enfermagem a criança hospitalizada. O brinquedo terapêutico na hospitalização criança diminuir o estresse, liberar a afetividade e permite que a criança consiga expressar suas emoções dentro do ambiente hospitalar, sendo uma estratégia eficaz, pois a criança libera sua criatividade, reinventa o mundo e explora seus limites. Conclui-se que, ao confrontar os sofrimentos da criança hospitalizada, expressos diante da dor e na falta de motivação e calor humano, o brinquedo terapêuticos, pode ser utilizado como recursos que facilitem e façam emergir habilidades e potencialidades da criança e assim, procura resgatar a importância do brinquedo e do brincar para o bem-estar da criança hospitalizada e sua família.

It is worth corroborating that, in childhood, the illness and hospitalization of children are factors that challenge healthy development, since hospitalization allows the manifestation of an early maturation for this phase. The manuscript is a literature review research with a qualitative approach and descriptive character in order to describe the contributions of the therapeutic toy to care for the child in the hospital. After associating all descriptors, 15 articles were selected that maintained coherence with the descriptors and the objectives of the study. After reflective reading, three categories emerged: therapeutic toys and contributions to the hospitalized child; difficulties in inserting therapeutic toys in the care of hospitalized children; therapeutic toys as a subsidy for nursing care for hospitalized children. The therapeutic toy in child hospitalization reduces stress, releases affectivity and allows the child to be able to express his emotions within the hospital environment, being an effective strategy, as the child releases his creativity, reinvents the world and explores its limits. It is concluded that, when confronting the sufferings of the hospitalized child, expressed in the face of pain and in the absence of motivation and human warmth, the therapeutic toy can be used as resources that facilitate and bring out the child's skills and potential and thus seeks to rescue the importance of toys and playing for the well-being of hospitalized children and their families.
