摘要：The aim of the article is to present communication conditions and relations in the information society taking into account the role of a university library. The starting point is to understand the communication process on the one hand as the manner to transmit information, and on the other hand as the way to create sending-receiving relations. The author analyzes the functioning of the library in the Internet society and the influence of electronic devices on its activity. The aim of the article is to show the relations between traditional and virtual manners of communication and to underline the role of communication in the future development of the library.
