  • 摘要:This article pursuit verify as has been the inclusion process of Students target audience of Special Education in Higher Education. At first presents a brief history of Special Education and Higher Education in Brazil, showing over the years as the higher education institutions and legislation have guaranteed these students access and permanence at this level of education and consequently the inclusion process. From this context, the aim of this study was to investigate the work of a teacher with a deaf student the course of Pedagogy of a higher education institution in order to verify comes happening the inclusion process of this student. With a qualitative approach, we developed a case study analyzing the data from the content analysis. For data collection was carried out half structured interviews with the teacher. The discussions and results are organized in the following categories: a) Professional identity; b) Teaching work and inclusion; c) The IES and the inclusion process; and d) The teacher - institution - family relationship; they point to guarantee access and permanence of that student in that institution. However, concludes, not effectiveness of the inclusion process in the absence of an inclusive pedagogical practice.
