摘要:The approval of Law 860/2016, authorizing the use of cellular phones in public schools in São Paulo state, previously forbidden, leads to the need of researching ways of using this instrument with pedagogical aims, objective of this paper. Considering that this mobile device accompanies young people in all activities, it is necessary to include it as a teaching-learning tool. Therefore, we present some necessary precautions to include the cellular phone in a pedagogical proposal, as well as some suggestions of its use in Portuguese language activities. The implementation of a work proposal considering the use of this technology, in which the agreements are followed by the students, only tends to bring benefits, for the virtual education is necessary in this totally informatized world. In this teaching proposal, the students should be considered as protagonists in the construction of their learning and they will be led, with their teacher intermediation, to understand that the cellular phone is more than an instrument to exchange quick messages and that it can also be used with other aims such as mathematical calculations, geographical researches, among others. Each school subject can use this tool with the intention to integrate learning to virtual reality, which is so much present in our days, but insufficiently explored for pedagogical aims.
