摘要：A Licenciatura em Educação do Campo é um avanço essencial para a consolidação de um projeto emancipatória para o desenvolvimento do campo. Assim, a Universidade Federal de Goiás, Regional Catalão, instituiu em 2013 essa licenciatura, presencial e em regime de alternância, tendo como princípio a formação de professores capazes de contribuir para a transformação social, e teve sua primeira turma no primeiro semestre de 2014. Logo esse estudo objetiva explorar a trajetória de implantação dessa licenciatura, através de um Estudo de Caso Educacional de caráter exploratório e descritivo. Nota-se uma pluralidade de perfis que constitui o grupo de universitários que ingressam nessa licenciatura, os quais trazem histórias de vida em torno do ingresso no Ensino Superior. Quanto aos docentes, onze ministram aulas no curso, e resultados indicam a carência na formação dos sujeitos que envolveram a Educação do Campo como ponto central, constatando que há falta de docente que dedicaram sua formação acadêmica para essa temática. A interdisciplinaridade é a consolidação de uma relação de reciprocidade entre as disciplinas, admita-se a incapacidade de se compreender os aspectos que envolvem o campo a partir de uma única óptica isolada, fazendo assim um movimento de diálogo e construção de pontes de encontro entre os diversos saberes. A Universidade vem se abrindo para dar acesso ao Ensino Superior à diversos outros sujeitos excluídos historicamente, dando possibilidade de as pessoas realizarem seus projetos de vida, mas além disso, cumprindo o seu dever como Estado, pois o acesso à educação é um direito de todos.
