摘要:The existence of civil servants in the era of reform and the implementation of regional autonomy has a very strategic position, as smoothly or not, good or bad governance and public services, is dependent upon its competence. Increased competence of civil servants depend how leadership style a leader in influencing the behavior of the people they lead to foster mutual understanding, awareness and wholeheartedly in the work, so that all of the organizational goals can be achieved effectively and efficiently. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style, structural training and organizational commitment to competence. The samples are 57 alumnus participants Diklatpim Level IV in 2012 to 2013 in the government environment of Pemalang. The methods of collecting data using are questionnaire and the methods analyzing data are using multiple linear regression. The results of multiple statistical regression correlation coefficient between leadership style and competence is 0,711. it means that competence is closely linked with leadership styles applied. The changes in leadership style will affect the increasing or decreasing in competence. The coefficient of correlation between structural training and competence is 0.708.
