摘要：Los profundos cambios políticos y culturales que atravesó la Argentina en el período 1890-1910 generaron una prolífera materialidad discursiva en distintos ámbitos sociales; pero sin duda fue el científico, aliado al académico, el que resultó preponderante por la confianza asignada al nuevo progreso positivista. Este trabajo analiza la compleja construcción del sujeto discursivo académico, problematizado bajo la tensión entre las categorías “médico”, “educador”, “político”, desde la noción teórica de “ethos”. Asimismo reflexiona sobre la configuración que, paralelamente, el enunciador construye de su auditorio. Los resultados muestran singulares operaciones discursivas de adoctrinamiento sobre los estudiantes, que se orientan a procurar y reproducir la “defensa social “desde un criterio científico.
其他摘要：The deep political and cultural changes Argentina went through between 1890 and 1910 created numerous discursive materials in diff erent social spheres. However, it was undoubtedly scientifi c discourse and academic discourse, which were most predominant at that time because of the importance att ached to positivist progress. This article analyzes the complex construction of the academic discursive subject, which unveils the tension among the “doctor”, the “educator”, and the “politician” categories, based on the idea of “ethos”. In addition, it refl ects on the confi guration that, in parallel, the speaker envisions his own audience. The fi ndings show singular discourse operations of indoctrination of students, aimed at securing and reproducing “social defense” with scientifi c criteria.
