摘要：We present a chromosome classifier for automated karyotyping of banded chromosomes which uses a multi-layer perceptron neural network. Two network configurations have been investigated. The resulting classifiers have been trained and tested on data from three different data sets covering a range of data quality. Classification results compare very favourably with those obtained using a highly optimised parametric classifier.
