摘要：This paper presents and discusses the so-called phenomenon of interpolation in texts of Portuguese authors born among 16th. - 18th. century. In comparison with this phenomenon in Old Portuguese (13th century to 16th century), we show that the phenomenon extends to new contexts, but is restricted to the interpolation of negation.
