摘要：The article based on the analysis of the legislation of Ukraine summarizes the methods of legal protection against violations of intellectual property rights. The main problems that hinder the effective protection of the rights of authors from academic plagiarism are defined. The fact that cases of «theft» of other people’s works or its parts acquired in Ukraine a mass character is stated. The author of the article, except the legislative and departmental ways of regulation of relations in the sphere of fighting academic plagiarism, highlights ethical way which should be taken into consideration together with the previous two, namely the application of the provisions of the Ethical code of the scientist of Ukraine and other ethical rules of the national and international level.
