标题：Encyclopedias as a source of Ukrainian national biographical archive (on the examples of Soviet Encyclopedia of History of Ukraine and Encyclopedia of History of Ukraine).
摘要：The article describes criteria of the characteristics and personalities selection for Soviet Encyclopedia of History of Ukraine (SEHU, 1969–1972) and the Encyclopedia of History of Ukraine (EHU, 2003 — nowadays). On the example of two publications created in different historical times, the paper reviews the evolution and transformation of the content of biographical articles in Ukrainian encyclopedias. It proves the necessity of the transition to the electronic multimedia encyclopedias format and further fi lling of the Ukrainian national biographical archive.
