摘要：The growing significance of online media has prompted a public debate about the potential consequences of this development. For instance; the perception that online media have a substantial influence on how young people in particular view and evaluate political processes is very widespread. On the basis of theoretical approaches like the influence of presumed media influence approach; it was examined which claims citizens make concerning communication policy activities in reaction to such perceptions. To this; an online survey was conducted in the context of the parliamentary election in the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 (n = 485). The results show that the perception of strong political influences of online media on young persons leads predominantly to an increased acceptance for information and education; but rarely to an increased acceptance for restrictive measures to limit the influence.
