摘要:Based on the distinction between hedonic and eudaimonic entertainment experiences; the present paper focuses on (1) the differential contribution of these gratifications to the evaluation of the German political talk show Absolute Mehrheit hosted by Stefan Raab; and (2) on their relationship with politically relevant outcome variables such as information gratifications obtained; interpersonal political discussion; and information seeking. In a pretest-posttest-follow-up design; 200 viewers of the show participated in an online survey with three points of measurement. Results show that; on the one hand; although eudaimonic entertainment experiences explain a significant portion of variance; hedonic entertainment experiences best predict the evaluation of the talk show. On the other hand; eudaimonic entertainment experiences best predict obtained gratifications such as information and utility one week after the show. Political discussion and information seeking are unrelated to entertainment experiences.
