摘要:Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is one of the most common problems in adolescents. Adolescents living in an orphanage can
be vulnerable to behavioral issues related to environmental adjustments, regulations and new friends. The range of assessment
conducted aims to further explore the behavioral problems, diagnosis and psychological dynamics of the opposing behavior
experienced by the KPS, a 14-year-old girl. The data collection consisted of semi-structured interviews, observation as well as
several psychological tests including graphic tests (DAP, BAUM & HTP), Children Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Forer's Sentence
Completion Test (FSCT) and Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC). Results show that the KPS meets the criteria of
Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) based on DSM-IV TR. Factors related to the harsh behavior of the mother and the succession
of different caregiver underlie the difficulty of KPS to develop a sense of security in relationship so as shown in the non-adaptive
behavior. This condition affects the development of insecure attachments in KPS which then makes KPS oppose the authority
figures, often angry and blame others.
