摘要：This article aims to evidence how education managers and union members of the city of Unaí evaluate the appreciation policy or its lack in the reality of municipal elementary school teachers. It also seeks to uncover the perspective of these managers and trade unionists on the contradictions between what was established in the Starting Salary Law, the Supreme Court Judgment and its non-compliance by the local government. Lastly, it presents the position of education managers and trade unionists concerning the shortage of financial resources for the funding of education and its materialization for the appreciation of Unaí municipal teachers.
