T he res e a r ch use qual i tative approach, data was analysed by emic approach and e tics ana l yse was conduc t ed to formulate the research c onc luti on and hypothesis compi l ation. The massive ne ss of l and pawning c o used by economical factors a n d l a nd f r agmentation caused by demographical pre s s ure s . The struc t ure change of land ownership from communal to individua l caused the functio n of so ci a l ec onomic of matr i line a l ex tend e d fami l y , it cause the protection to o l d people, orphan and widow bec om e less. Th e strategy of matrilin e a l nu c lear fami l y i n fu l fi ll in g the li f e needs a s a resul t from interac tio n be tw e en the rareness of f r am land and developing ma r k e t , which is structure in productin g or g aniza tion i n t h e farm l and; the m ov e m e nt from pro f it s h a r i n g system to t he r en t al system; intensification and di s e r v ica tion o f farm land use. T ights rela t ion of ri g ht and o b li gati o n in consanguini t y system and r eciproca l e xchange among i n divid u a l i n society st a rt to b ec om e we ak er and sma ll e r toge th er . To th e group o f society , t ha t stage result in the decrea s e of social securi t y in quantity and q uality. The change at the level i n fra - struc ture c aused the change of family structure a nd the struc t ure of land ownership, but it do e sn't in f l u ence to t h e s u pra s t r uct u re l e vel . The ideology of matr il inea l s ystem still remain conc e pted , a lthou g ht there' t he c hange a t the level of infra - structure and s t ructure , th e society of Sungai Tanan g stay rem a in s to t h e I s la m and c us tom rul e s .
