摘要：Neste artigo, apresentamos algumas possibilidades sobre as crônicas do século XVI no ensino de História. Para isso, abordamos alguns aspectos, tais como, o estudo sobre o Medievo no Brasil, a especificidade do século XVI nos territórios americanos e a utilização deste gênero histórico como um dos primeiros produtos culturais utilizados para textualizar a experiência europeia no território americano. Como suporte bibliográfico (voltado para os aspectos teórico, metodológico, temático e de ensino de História), utilizamos os trabalhos de Weckmann (1993), Weckmann (1984), Fernandes (1999), Le Goff (2004), Le Goff (2015), Segal (1991), Guimarães (2012), Aurell (2013), Schmitd (2003), Bezerra (2016) e Macedo (2016). Neste sentido, consideramos que as crônicas do século XVI são objetos pelos quais se pode observar concepções de mundo, formas de escrita, modificações na percepção historiográfica e na escrita da história, relações de conflito entre grupos sociais e construção de identidades e, dessa forma, podem ser utilizados no ensino de História.
其他摘要：In this article, we present some possibilities about the chronicles of the sixteenth century in the teaching of Medieval History in the basic education, using the same as objects that contain several signals of the historiographical thought of this period, because present some aspects of continuity with the middle ages. For this, we make some commentaries about the study about the Middle Ages in Brazil, the specificity of the sixteenth century in the American territories, and the utilization of this historical gender as one of the firsts cultural products used for make a text about the European experience in the American territory. About the bibliography (theoretical, methodological, thematical, and about teaching of History), we used the follow works: Weckmann (1993), Weckmann (1984), Fernandes (1999), Le Goff (2004), Le Goff (2015), Segal (1991), Guimarães (2012), Aurell (2013), Schmitd (2003), Bezerra (2016) e Macedo (2016). In this sense, the chronicles of the sixteenth century are objects from which is possible to understand conceptions of world, forms of writing, modification in the historiographical perception and in the writing of History, conflictual relationship between social groups, and construction of identities and, in this way, could be utilized in the teaching of Medieval History in the Basic Education
